How to replace a sprinkler

You will need the following:

Shovel
Common screw driver (flat)
Pliers or Channel locks

1. Take and cut a round or square hole. I doesn't have to be very large or very deep, go about three inches from the sprinkler and about three inches deep.
2. Pull the section of grass up and place it to the side.
3. Take your hand and try to unthread the sprinkler. If its to tight use the channel locks.
Note: If the top comes off that is ok.
4. Pull it out. If your riser is attached to the bottom remove it.
5. If you had to remove the riser thread it back into the new sprinkler.
6. Thread the new sprinkler back into the pipe.
7. Turn on the sprinkler for just a few seconds to flush any debris that may of fallen into the pipe.
8. Pull up the center tab
9. Drop in the screen and replace the nozzle with the same old one or a new one.
10. Turn on the sprinklers and check for leaks and to make sure that it is adjusted properly.
Note: If it needs to be adjusted do the following # 11-14. If it is adjusted properly you are done and skip to # 15
11. Take the common screw driver and place it just under the lip of the nozzle.
12. Push the screw driver under the lip of the nozzle.
13. Grab it with your finger tips.
14. Grab the stem and turn it towards the closest direction (left or right)
Note: It will sound like it is braking but that is the ratchet it is ok.
15. Drop the round section of grass back into the hole.
